About the Role

Are you interested in working on the heart of a mission critical distributed system processing up to 1,000,000 transactions per second, and providing the communication platform linking thousands of travel websites, hotels, payment providers and hundreds of airlines?

Joining our team, you will be working on the Amadeus Service Integrator, Amadeus’ gateway handling all incoming and internal traffic over various protocols. It connects all components of Amadeus solutions from booking websites, payment provider to boarding gates in airports.

You’ll re-engineer the platform to run across multiple data centers in the public cloud.
You will be using modern C++ and Golang on Kubernetes. Thanks to inner sourcing, you’ll be able to study and contribute to any software component the application depends on. Embracing DevOps culture, you will work on the core application as well as its environment: continuous integration with Jenkins pipeline, deployment and monitoring with Prometheus / Grafana.

You will work on:

• Participating in the technical design of new features
• Implementing low latency, scalable, reliable and thoroughly tested code
• Improving the testing framework using containers
• Improving the deployment & monitoring infrastructure
• Supporting the application by investigating live incidents and fixing bugs

We are looking for:

• Degree educated or equivalent work experience
• Programming languages: C++ mainly and preferably Python and Golang
• A keen interest in network programming and high throughput applications (multithreading, asynchronous I/O)
• Problem solver with analytical thinking and the ability to share technical expertise
• 1-3 years of work experience as a software developer in a Linux environment will be beneficial
