Job summary
Relaunch your career with Amazon Career relaunch program. Particiapants receive 16 weeks of paid internship opportunity with Amazon. After the 16 weeks of the program, participant performance is assessed for full time SDET offers.

The relaunch program inspires technologists to return to work after taking a break in their career. This platform gives candidates an opportunity to work at Amazon, and provides on-the-job training to sharpen their professional skills while working on real world customer solutions. Participants will get training on SDET tools and technologies, technical mentoring and focus groups to help with career relaunch related challenges.

The program aims to bring back the talent who are out of traditional workforce for a few years for a variety of reasons – care giving for kids or loved ones, serving in the military, or time off to find their path. The program is open to anyone who has at least 2 years of professional experience and have been out of the paid workforce for at least 1 year. Key job responsibilities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years relevant work experience
• Minimum of 2+ years of software development and testing experience, with a strong background in CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming
• Keen analytical skills and excellent problem solving.
• Expert level Java or C#, and experience with scripting languages.
• Expert in software quality and testing methodologies, test automation tools, schedulers, frameworks, and harnesses.
• Experience with testing methodologies for server class services, including latency and load testing, as well as designing and implementing test cases, running cases on distributed systems, and reporting on quality
• Familiarity with Linux or other Unix server class operating systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience delivering large, cross-functional projects

A day in the life
You’ll be assigned an onboarding buddy and mentor when you start, so you always have someone to go to for help. An embarkation plan will guide you through your first few weeks. On a daily basis, you’ll utilize the Agile methodology and participate in team scrums with other engineers. On a weekly basis, you’ll have 1:1 meetings with your manager. You’ll have access to all of Amazon’s software development tools for designing and building your project.

Amazon Pay is a high growth startup business within Amazon. Started in 2015, Amazon Pay is now available in 18 countries, allowing buyers to leverage Amazon’s trusted, convenient, and rewarding wallet for 3rd party purchase experiences online and with Alexa.Basic Qualifications

Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field, or 1+ equivalent years of experience

• 2+ years of experience, which may be composed of experience as a developer, experience as a QA Engineer, or experience as an SDET.
• 2+ years of expertise in automation framework building using a programing language.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze data
• Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings
• Ability to programmatically test a product, measure test coverage, develop the best automation, drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product, while promoting best practices in quality areas.
• Experience testing services and web applications.Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities – Ability to build tools, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to work on multiple products and projects.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with but not limited to JUnit/TestNG, JBehave (or other BDD framework), Selenium.
