We take working hard, having fun, and making history seriously and you should too!As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the AWS Migration Services portfolio, you will closely work with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short and long term business and financial goals, evaluate new business opportunities, and drive business initiatives. Responsibilities include business and financial forecasting, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance and ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in project management. This role has regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and requires strong people skills.Key Responsibilities:* Lead key analytical projects that influence and drive the business* Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change* Build out and enhance financial models for new and existing services, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses* Develop and refine financial models used to forecast and report the company’s revenue and other key business metrics* Compile and review financial results and operational plans and communicate results to company leaders* Create, maintain and improve management reporting* Drive the financial planning / budgeting process* 5+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 5+ years of finance experience OR master’s degree and 3+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.* MBA preferred* Highly analytical and detail oriented, with demonstrated ability in problem solving and root cause analysis* Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner* Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, and other analytical tools* Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new data sets quickly for data extraction* Ability to work independently and self-motivate to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload across multiple projects, and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, ever-growing, and often ambiguous environment* Excellent communication and persuasion skills* Experience with Essbase, TM1/Cognos, Oracle Financials or similar toolsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
