The AWS Solutions Tools team builds tools to enable infrastructure developers all over the world to architect and build well architected solutions more easily. In 2020, we publicly launched AWS Solutions Constructs, a set of vetted architectural patterns that can be easily assembled to create production-ready workloads.

The AWS Solutions Tools team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to help architect, build, and support AWS Solutions Constructs as we grow our pattern library. In addition to designing and writing new patterns, you will be an evangelist – assisting external teams and customers both in contributing patterns to the open-source library as well as using patterns in their own solutions, A successful Software Development Engineer will have a broad array of experiences, exceptional design skills, an excellent ability to solve problems, good communication skills and a desire to be a key technical contributor.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science related fields OR 1+ years equivalent experience in software development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Deep understanding of AWS CloudFormation and CDK

· Preferred programming experience with a modern programming language (ex. Java, Python)

· Experience communicating with users, software development engineering teams, and management to evangelize, demo and promote the usage of AWS Solutions Constructs
