Job Duties & Responsibilities
Computer Programmer II applicant must be knowledgeable in SSCA processes and procedures and the management of MDS and NALCOMIS reports /inquiries at the squadron level. The SA/A shall have a full working knowledge of the principles of foundation, mid, and top tier data replication and information available in the Aviation Data Warehouse (ADW). A strong working knowledge of (DECKPLATE) maintenance reports is required of applicants. A complete understanding of 4790.2 policies and procedures, accurate documentation procedures, viable aviation maintenance and material management (3M) and Naval Flight Record Subsystem (NAVFLIR) documents is mandatory. Understanding the necessity of preparing reports to meet new and constantly changing data requirements for the Test and Evaluation community is required.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Degree in Computer Science/Programming or three (3) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Recent Logs and Records experience is required
Ability to read, understand technical language, and interpret data is required.
Possess a valid US State driver’s license
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills (Nice-to-Have ), Physical Requirements
Knowledge of electronic data processing (EDP) equipment, i.e., digital computers, mainframe, and minicomputers.
Knowledge of VMware vSphere and Linux RHEL.
Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
Understand technical language terms in associated field.
Personnel with this classification must be specialized in the following SCA Occupational Codes: 03072 Computer Programmer II
Ability to work under pressure and continuously meet deadlines.
Works in a normal office in a hanger environment
