We are seeking a sharp HR and Payroll Assistant to join our energetic team!

HR/Payroll Assistant

DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Assisting with payroll functions including payroll preparation by updating IRA/FedEx fees & monthly commission statements, answering employee questions, and distributing checks.
• Assisting with employee orientation, development, & training
• Assisting with benefits (health/dental, 401K, etc.) administration & contract negotiation
• Assisting with HR-related employee issues/grievances
• Assisting with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
• And other HR & admin/payroll-related assignments

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have at least two (2) years of HR-related work experience. Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong people skills. Remains calm, flexible, and always maintains confidentiality. Must possess excellent writing & communication skills, be resourceful, pay attention to details, & be highly organized. Able to meet deadlines & multi-task with minimal mistakes/errors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour
