Responsibilities

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Matching Gift Specialist in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas . The location of this position is remote and flexible.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing Matching Gifts administration, donor communication, and Customer Relationship Management database (Blackbaud). Responsible for researching, identifying, and completing Matching Gift opportunities across all Field Campaign activities.

Essential Job Duties:

• Prepare and submit documentation for Matching Gift contributions as identified by original donor.

• Research, identify and track corporate Matching Gift programs for development and promotion at fund-raising events.

• Prepare, document, and deliver donor communications and recognition.

• Develop and maintain relationships with region corporate giving teams to ensure process flow and revenue collection.

• Develops understanding and knowledge of AHA Mission and goals to effectively communicate with donors.

• Participates in Mission Advancement team projects and initiatives as requested.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Two (2) years of experience providing administrative support for development teams in a nonprofit, hospital, research, or academic institution.

• Two (2) years of experience working with corporate and community relations contacts.

• One (1) year of project management experience

• Ability to initiate support and collaborate with all levels of staff, prospects, volunteers, and donors.

• Comprehensive ability to prepare written communications.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of experience in the following:

• Understanding of philanthropic environment

• Experience using donor relationship management software, such as BBCRM, Blackbaud, Dynamics, Tableau, and/or Raiser’s Edge
