Vice President, Corporate DevelopmentWe’re hiring a Vice President Corporate Development to be the deal leaderfor all elements of the merger and acquisition process for GMR, includingcollaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders across business units tobest align with corporate strategy and growth objectives. The VP CorporateDevelopment has the principal mission to identify, analyze and recommendpotential acquisition and investment opportunities in accordance with GMR’sstrategic and financial growth goals.Responsibilities:Drive the acquisition process from inception to close including the followingresponsibilities:Work with senior management to identify, screen and prioritize opportunitiesdetermining their tactical and strategic complement with GMR’s groundtransport, air transport, and fire and technology services;Cultivate relationships with potential targets directly or leverage bankers/ intermediaries to source proprietary deals;Develop strong working relationships with various functional groups in theorganization;Produce operational and valuation financial models collaborating with businessunits for (a) evaluation of synergy opportunities and (b)incorporation into M&A valuation models ensuring complete alignment offinancial and operational assumptions in deal evaluation;Actively participate in due diligence activities coordinating with theappropriate corporate staff departments and business units (e.g.,compliance, legal, finance, accounting, treasury, insurance,tax, human capital management, information technology, and businessoperations). Maintain strong relationship with sellers throughout duediligencPrepare investment committee presentations and present acquisitionrecommendations to the business unit and senior leadership;Work collaboratively with external and internal counsel to facilitate the dealnegotiation process.Minimum Required Qualifications:5-10 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, andinternal consulting required.3-5 years of leadership experience leading buy-side M&A transactions.Experience will have been gained in a corporate environment, investmentbanking, private equity, strategy/business consulting firms, orvaluation advisory division of a public accounting firmAn undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or related fieldis required. CPA license, MBA or advanced business-related degree from atop-tier school is strongly preferred.Knowledge of healthcare, healthcare system, health plans, providers,health technology is strongly preferred.Superb financial modeling skills (advanced user of MS Excel) withexperience building discounted cash flow models, and with valuation-relatedconcepts including Return on Equity, Internal Rate of Return, Return onInvested Capital amongst others.Excellent presentation skills (advanced user of MS PowerPoint). Possessoutstanding communication skills and the ability to synthesize complexinformation for management review.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism and theability to successfully interact at all company levels are also criticalAbility to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, handle multipleprojects and interact professionally with both external and internal businesspartners.
