Mercy Medical is looking for a Social worker (Licensed) /Counselor- in our Adol Psych Nursing Unit

Masters Degree Required LSW/LCSW or LPC/LCPC Required Experience working with children 5yrs told 12yrs old preferred Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am -4:30pmThis Counselor position is eligible for $5,000.00 sign-on bonus, provided you successfully complete all pre-employment requirements subject to the terms and conditions of the offer. Former associates of six months are not eligible.

What You Will Do

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

• Conduct patient assessments and establishe therapy treatment goals.

• Administer individual and group therapy.

• Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.

• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.

• Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

• Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:

• Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.

• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Required before provisioning of care.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Technical degree required.

Additional Preferences

Masters Degree Required LSW/LCSW or LPC/LCPC Required Experience working with children 5yrs told 12yrs old preferred Monday – Friday 8am to 4:30pm
