Job summary

Amazon Australia are seeking two Software Engineer Developers to support configuration of our very own internal Time and Attendance (TAA) payroll tool for our Operations business line (Fulfillment centers and Delivery stations).

The roles will be based in Australia, with at home working arrangements possible and flexibility in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane location base. The roles will report into the Regional Program Manager (Australia) and partner closely with our global product and engineering teams.

Key job responsibilities

For one position, the Time and Attendance tool configuration will be the key requirement of the role to action business change requests accurately and managed to completion within key time frames across multiple product technology teams. The second position will partner with our global Time and Attendance engineering team on feature enhancements that improve the overall tool functionality and deliver an exceptional end user experience.

Both positions will work together to improve the Time and Attendance product and experience for our Australian Operations business line. You should be a passionate, results-oriented, experienced software developer. About the team

At the core, this is in the business of analytics – real-time and batch-driven – over data collected from IoT devices, usually time clocks. We own high-availability authoritative services to support this processing, and require the ability to work from authoritative, replay-able, auditable “truth” for any point in an employee’s timeline. Our business rules are complex and governed by local pay legislation, local business requirements and global company policy. Previous Time and Attendance and payroll technology programming experience and knowledge is highly advantageous. There are two permanent positions available supporting the Australian Operations business and report into the Regional Program Manager based in Melbourne, Australia and flexibility for this role to be based in either Melbourne of Sydney. The role whilst initially focused on Australia has the growth potential to support global expansion plans within Amazon. Flexible work hours will be required to liaise with offshore product and technology teams in India, US and EU.
