Part-time Orthopaedic Data Entry

Part-time data entry person needed 20-30 hours per week for orthopaedic research. Days and times are flexible. Computer literacy required. Hourly compensation based on experience and education, $20-$25 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

• Adding and editing hip and knee surgery forms, evaluations, complications, and patient surveys in a clinical database

• Tracking scheduled appointment dates and changes

• Look up missing information in electronic medical records

• Manage paper forms: distribution, collection, sorting, quality control, updates

• Good communication with research staff, clinical staff, and database manager

• Knowledge of medical vocabulary is a plus

• Knowledge of SQL, appsmith, or other programming language is a plus

Established in 1972, AORI (www.aori.org) is a small, non-profit foundation renowned for its clinically-oriented research related to hip and knee replacements. AORI conducts both prospective and retrospective studies to better understand the factors that influence outcome after joint replacement. The Institute maintains a clinical database of over 35,000 joint replacement procedures in addition to a large collection of revision and post-mortem retrieved specimens. AORI’s facilities are located 10 miles outside Washington, DC, in Alexandria, VA. We seek to share our research findings with the medical community through peer-reviewed publications and at scientific meetings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
