The Manager Proposal Development is r esponsible for managing activities within the proposal unit. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Manages the scheduling and completion of proposals, bids, and requests for information.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
Supports and serves as a backup for the regional director, when needed.
Develops and implements policies, procedures, systems, and quality review processes
Provides research, analysis, recommendations, and training on the external environment to writers as part of the development of strategic plans for the business unit.
Provides subject matter expertise regarding proposals.
Builds relationships with sales and functional areas essential to the development, revision, and delivery of proposal-related products.
May be asked to lead and coordinate the completion of high-profile RFPs.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree; 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA preferred. Health care industry experience preferred.

Association of Proposal Management Professional (APMP) membership and certification

Annual Salary Range*: $94,600 – $141,900
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
