Social Media Manager
Responsible for leading Anthem’s social media strategy and operations as part of the organizations overall strategic communication and public relations efforts. This individual will direct and execute social media strategy for Anthem accounts and provide support for social media efforts in our 14 Blue Plan states.
Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: – Plans and executes social media strategies which are in line with established reputation efforts. – Work with agency and other partners to identify white space, emerging issues and potential threats in the social space. – Manage social listening and monitoring and make informed recommendations for Anthem’s engagement. – Partners with other leaders across the organization who share responsibility for overall social programming to ensure a consistent strategic focus and voice. – Provides guidance or direction to team members on departmental projects.
Work location – Anthem office in one of the following states: Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Virginia
Qualifications
Minimum requirements: Requires a BA/BS degree in Public Relations, journalism, communications or related area; 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred qualifications: – Working knowledge of the health insurance industry preferred.
