The Staff VP, Internal Audit & Controls Assurance will report to the Chief Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management Officer and will be responsible for leading independent Information Technology (IT) internal audit teams, and managing co-sourced external teams, to ensure enterprise IT risks are appropriately identified and managed, and providing assurance reviews over IT internal controls.

Staff includes: Director of Control Assurance and a Director of IT Internal Audit, with 13 individual contributors

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Leads a team of IT Auditors assembled for complex IT audit engagements, including IT risk assessments (ensuring comprehensive coverage), strategic IT internal audit planning, and executing security reviews, pre- and post-implementation reviews, IT policy and general control audits, and other related reviews. – Designs and leads IT audit activities, consistent with the Institute of Internal Auditor’s (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), that evaluate IT risks, governance, operational processes and controls, compliance with state contracts, laws and regulations, and efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations. – Provides leadership and direction in the companywide efforts to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 302, 404 and partners to ensure the successful completion of SSAE 18 (SOC 1 and SOC 2) reviews by external auditors, for the IT operations. – Proactively works with IT senior management to evolve audit coverage and control maturity to address emerging risks. – Performs continuous auditing and monitoring of IT controls utilizing a risk-based approach to assess the strength, maturity, and effectiveness of the IT control environment. – Serves as the primary relationship leader for external auditors related to SOX, SSAE 18 and financial audits for the IT audit deliverables. – Anticipates changes to the audit scope based on evolving regulations, customer expectations, changes to the business, changes in enterprise strategies, etc. and ensures appropriate communications accordingly. – Consults with and advises senior management on IT risk mitigation and areas of deficiency. – Assists in reporting to the Audit Committee and providing audit status and detail related to various internal control issues and remediation statuses. – Supports business, operational and financial risk activities and audits, where necessary. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology and minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT audit, internal controls and/or compliance and a minimum of 5 years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. – MBA and/or professional certificate (CPA, CIA, CISA) required.

  Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• Expertise in COSO, COBIT, ITIL, HIPAA, SOX, PCAOB, SSAE 18 (SOC1 & SOC2), PCI, HITRUST, NIST CSF, and/or ISO 2000x. – Prior work experience in healthcare or other regulated industry.
