We are immediately hiring a Special Education Teacher for an amazing school district in Huntley, IL for Summer 2022! This ideal candidate should have experience working with high school students, and be able to work Monday-Thursday.

Job Responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher include:

• Support the learning high school students in a diverse learning environment

• Write and develop IEPs in collaboration with parents/guardians, staff and students

• Provide direct instruction and services to all students

• Support progress monitoring

• Communicate with students, families, colleagues, and communities effectively and accurately

• Maintain accurate reports, records, and files on individual students

• Create a well-rounded environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to all students

• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, teachers, staff, and parents

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Special Education Teacher:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred

• Illinois Professional Educators License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement (LBS1) required

• Previous experience working with high school students is preferred
