Anwyl Specialist Medical Centre Looking for Duty Manager at Porirua, Wellington Full Time

Anwyl Specialist Medical Centre is one of the largest providers of phototherapy services in NZ, and a leading provider of patch testing services for both our own patients and for dermatologists nationwide. We are a small, but very busy clinic.

You will join a team of Practice Manager, 2 Receptionists, Dermatologist, Dermatology Nurse, and 2 Phototherapists. We have other specialists who consult here fortnightly or monthly. You must be able to comply with PPE requirements (face masks are required in health care facilities in public facing areas). We expect that you should be able to cover for other staff on leave, as required. We will provide full training to a suitable candidate .

The hours of work are : Monday to Friday, 30-40 hours a week (to be discussed at interview)

The role includes:

• overseeing operations including maintenance, cleanliness, efficiency 
• improving and upholding processes and policies
• ensuring security, safety, and compliance with regulations
• dealing with issues that arise in the day to day running of the clinic
• supporting and training staff in administrative and IT matters
• supporting the practice manager as required in ordering supplies, dealing with agencies, and financial matters
• assisting the reception staff if busy

You should have:

• excellent communication skills
• team management skills
• IT skills
• an understanding of the unique demands of the health industry
• Sufficient humility and breadth of experience to deal with anything from laundry and rubbish to privacy legislation or software mischief.
• a sense of humor

Experience that would be a major advantage:

• experience with Profile, Medtech or similar software
