This is an opportunity for a proactive and results-driven individual to join the Core Systematics team who are responsible for developing and supporting ANZ’s Core Retail Banking System. A role which is both development and operational, the candidate will be working on deliverables for the business with other Systematics developers, business analysts, testers and project managers, as well as across other Technology teams and the Business. Suitable candidates will be those with a collaborative working style who thrive on challenges, and always keen to learn and grow and try new approaches.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

• Demonstrated design, coding and documentation skills, with the proven ability to understand Technical Designs and inter-related impact assessments;
• Advanced and proven problem solving ability;
• A proven track record of managing multiple priorities to illustrate your ability to understand priorities, whilst delivering quality work and meeting responsibilities across multiple deliveries and stakeholders;
• Excellent organisational and analytical abilities with the ability to work and deliver in an environment which is continuously evolving;
• Well-developed relationship building skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders;
• An understanding of the commitment to maintain a stable, secure service to our customers and to meet agreed SLAs;

Proven ability to lead, develop, and influence others by building trust-based relationships;

• A positive team player who inspires a culture of shared understanding, clear goals and proactive approach to work;
• Proven ability to quickly adapt and respond positively to change along with the drive to proactively seek out opportunities for improvement in all aspects of the team;
• Knowledge of the Systematics Banking Application, how and where it fits in ANZ;
• Knowledge and experience with web services
• Significant applications development SDLC experience, especially with large and complex systems
• Proven ability to understand, manage and resolve external system issues and impact to systems
• Ability to work in a team in a senior capacity
• Ability to undertake major development work autonomously
• Good knowledge of Infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of mainframe systems and utilities: CICS, COBOL, VSAM, JCL, Endevor, Fileaid, Abendaid, Expediter, Control D/B/M, Microsoft – Office, Connect Direct, XCOM, MQ
