About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to work as part of the Finance team to provide a high-quality accounting service that support the delivery of accurate, timely and reliable financial information. Work is focused on ensuring financial systems and processes operate at full effectiveness.
  
Job Responsibilities:
The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:   

• Prepare client invoices and liaise with the business (Registry, Unit Pricing and Client Services) and client to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain the purchase order system, process supplier invoices, and approved staff reimbursement claims in the accounting system.
• Process payment runs.
• Liaise with Apex New Zealand staff regarding authorisation of accounts payable where necessary.
• Respond to requests for information from creditors and clients.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure the required accounts are reconciled monthly and assist with Group for monthly reconciliations templates.
• Perform bank reconciliation and match receipts to invoices where necessary.
• Carry out credit control procedures and report on aged debtors to agreed standards.
• Liaise with Group for administration of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Efficiently administer and process payroll through iPayroll and ensure PAYE and other payroll taxes are filed correctly.
• Assist with audit and year end statutory account.
• Special Projects as required. 
• Ensure privacy and confidentiality of corporate information.

 Skills & Experience Required:

• Ideally have a business qualification and/or 3-5 years relevant financial or commercial experience.
• Basic to intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft computer packages and experience with ERP systems.
• Basic knowledge of New Zealand tax legislation (e.g. GST and PAYE)
• Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new software in a continuously changing environment.
• Can do attitude.
• You will be able to work independently, multi-task, use initiative and could prioritise.
• You will have the ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of people and organisations.
