THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• handling sensitive financial documents with care and professionalism while maintaining strict confidentiality; Utilities, Personal Credit Card Statements, etc.
• working collaboratively with all company team members and maintaining positive relationships with tenants, and vendors
• process invoices, validate invoice coding and approvals and match to purchase orders
• review and verify invoices and check requests
• sort, code, and match invoices
• set invoices up for payment
• enter and upload invoices into the system
• track expenses and process expense reports
• prepare and perform check runs
• post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
• reconcile vendor statements on an ongoing basis
• prepare an analysis of accounts
• monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• maintain vendor files
• correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• seek out and implement process improvement

Education and Experience

• knowledge of accounts payable
• knowledge of general accounting procedures
• knowledge of accounting software (Mas 90/SAGE preferred but not required)
• proficient in data entry management (Word, Excel)
• 3-5 years of accounts payable prefer experience
