Job Title: Dispatcher

Location: Gardena, CA (onsite)

Training: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm

Schedule: Mon-Fri 10:00am-7:00pm

Pay Rate: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Summary: This position provides administration and clerical to Dispatch Operations as to the tracking of all equipment and execution of planned routes for drivers. You will communicate via phone, google chat and email ensuring that all administration tasks are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. Communicate directly with drivers as to status, assignments and any trouble shooting within Los Angeles & Long Beach Terminals.

Job Duties:

• Confirm information, provide information, resolve problems and maintain records
• Perform data entry, filing, generate import files with the tracking of equipment
• Obtain, track and verify information in system for chassis and containers
• Input and confirm our system is updated with accurate locations of container and chassis
• Help in the development and improvement of processes related to tracking and tracing of equipment and drivers
• Entering Delivery Orders into operations software called Trinium
• Answering customers emails pertaining to scheduling for containers
• Scheduling appointment with warehouse for delivery of containers
• Entering in worksheet & erase board the daily containers on schedule
• Additional duties may be assigned

Requirements:
2+ year of Ports Dispatch experience

This position does require the ability to sit for your entire 8 hour shift and constantly be on the computer/phones

Attention to detail, problem solving, a high level of organizational skills, and are able to handle complex responsibilities.

Effectively communicate both orally and in writing to internal and external parties

Proficient in time management, organization, and problem-solving skills

Computer literate and basic knowledge in Excel, Google Docs and Gmail

Ability to work independently with limited supervision
