About the role

APRA AMCOS has engaged a strategic technology partner, a Data Engineering and Data Science organisation, to help modernise its IT architecture and accelerate its digital transformation journey. The technology strategic partner, a systems integrator specialising in real-time data streaming and customised IT architecture modernisation, is helping APRA AMCOS migrate from an on-premise, single-threaded processing system to a cloud-based, distributed processing platform. The new system will allow APRA AMCOS to adapt and scale its royalty-payment processes for ongoing growth and technology changes.

APRA AMCOS is seeking to expand its software development capabilities to accommodate its modernisation plans. Two (2) Graduate Software Engineers are being sought to join APRA AMCOS. However, these resources will be seconded toAPRA AMCOS’s strategic partner. Being integrated within a leading data engineering and data science organisation will only deepen and broaden the skills of the successful candidates.

The role’s primary focus will be rapid software development and deployment, specialising in distributed computing frameworks. An understanding of, and the ability to work with, cloud infrastructure and cloud-native application deployment is essential. The role also requires interaction with APRA AMCOS and its strategic partner and a flexible approach to managing work schedules.
