The Company
AQUI-S New Zealand Ltd is an established and successful business developing and manufacturing veterinary medicines for the global aquaculture industry. With a stable base in the Hutt Valley, we provide products and services from our GMP-approved facility to enhance the quality and value of fish produced in the aquaculture and fishing industries.
Responsibilities
Joining a small team and reporting to the General Manager, the Production Manager will ensure products meet GMP standards and customer requirements. Responsibilities would include:
· Providing management and supervision for all production activities including planning and staff allocations
· Raw material stock control, planning and purchase
· Manufacturing of active ingredients
· Process improvement / facility upgrade projects
· Ensuring company’s quality standards are adhered to
· Supporting preparation and approval of SOPs
· Managing process and equipment validation requirements for the production facility
· Managing equipment maintenance and calibration
· Assisting with all HR requirements for production staff
· Training of production operators
Requirements
As the ideal candidate, you will be a strong communicator with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You will be prepared for hands-on work and to work to deadlines. Part of the roll may require you to work outside normal business hours. Relevant commercial experience in a GMP or an equivalent production environment would be an advantage.
In addition, you would ideally have the following qualifications, work experience and work ethic:
· Experience in team management.
· A tertiary qualification in science or experience in a laboratory or technology-based industry.
· Experience in a GMP environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent attention to detail
· Time management and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines and maintain documentation.
· Positive attitude.
