• Take a personal interest in personal and team safety. Continuously look for ways to improve safety and assist others do the same.
• Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheet and report problems immediately to Production Control Supervisor.
• Correct any and all malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to coordinator if corrections cannot be made.
• Regular communication with PCS is required to identify or anticipate issues, allowing quick mitigation or prevention of plant issues
• Make any and all repairs that are needed within your capabilities, including welding.
• Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment. This requires working in confined areas with temperatures in excess of 110F.
• Housekeeping is a daily requirement.
• Utilize all safety equipment, personal or otherwise, required by the company and follow all company guidelines safety standards. Attend all safety meetings as scheduled.
• Perform small refractory repairs.
• Safe and proper operation of plant mobile equipment to include but not limited to front end loaders, skid steer loaders, and fork lifts. This includes inspection of each piece of mobile equipment. Completion of inspection sheet is required.
• Taking accurate and reliable silo measurements as required.
• Cleaning of the preheater in a safe manner when required. This involves working in temperatures of up to 120F, wearing heavy insulated clothing and heavy lifting of woma gun.
• This job requires shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work. Employee may have work schedule adjusted on short notice. The rotation is 12 hour shifts with a turnover period.
• Perform any and all tasks assigned by the Production Control Supervisor.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear or smell. The employee will frequently be required to walk on rocky, irregular surfaces that may be muddy and in reduced lighting conditions. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, low lighting, artificial lighting, and explosives. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. • Demonstrated ability in current job, that the employee will be able to complete the Production Technician Certification Training Program.
• Safety and attendance record.
• Experience operating skid steer loaders, front end loader and welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Communicate effectively with fellow workers and supervisors, ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Be able to demonstrate ability to complete quality work in a timely fashion, without rework
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Qualifications: Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully pass Work Keys testing
