Arista Networks Hiring for Arista CloudVision Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Job at Sydney, Australia Full Time

Arista Networks is an industry leader in cognitive cloud networking for mission-critical data center and campus environments. Arista’s CloudVision is an enterprise network management and streaming telemetry SaaS offering, built on top of a scale-out, globally deployed data and analytics platform.

We’re looking for experienced SRE leaders to expand Arista’s global SRE team in our Sydney office. You’d be responsible for our global CloudVision service fleet, including monitoring and scaling our tech stack, CI/CD processes, disaster recovery and management, automation, application/infrastructure security, and much more.

As a senior member of the SRE team, you’d also be responsible for building and growing the team, mentoring new hires, and prioritizing what we build and how we operate as a global SRE team.

CloudVision is a kubernetes-based SaaS offering, deployed across global regions using Spinnaker for our CI/CD pipeline. Our tech stack runs on GKE, using HBase/Hadoop as main distributed database and storage layer, ElasticSearch for powering search data, ClickHouse for fast real time queries of flow data, our own Kafka-based distributed real time stream processing layer for analytics, and TensorFlow for ML analysis.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant experience subject.

• 5+ years experience as an SRE or equivalent.

• Experience developing for or managing deployments of distributed database systems (e.g. Hadoop, HBase, ClickHouse, ElasticSearch, etc).

• Experience building and managing containerized services/clusters such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with devops and application deployment frameworks (e.g. Ansible, Helm, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc).

• Experience with monitoring systems (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc).

• Experience monitoring production applications through SLIs and SLOs
