LIFEGUARD – NEW- Summer

GEOTEMPS, INC. is currently looking for a LIFEGUARD for our valued client in Morenci, Arizona. This individual must have a commitment to teamwork, safety and following policy and protocol. This opportunity is best suited for an individual who is comfortable as a lifeguard and performing public safety work in preventing injuries in the municipal pool facility.

+ SUMMARY:Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of an aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies.

+ Duties include preventing accidents, effectively enforcing pool rules and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITES:

+ Constant observance of patrons.

+ Enforcement of safety rules and regulations.

+ Administration of first aid and / or artificial resuscitation.

+ Eliminate or minimize hazards.

+ Responsible for completion of pool deck work.

+ May assist in conducting special swimming classes and activities.

+ Handling all patron and pool problems in an efficient and proper manner.

+ Be able to function as part of an effective crew.

+ Acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in an event of emergency.

+ Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.

+ Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports.

+ Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

+ Open the pool each day and close it down every evening.

+ Monitor pool related activities.

+ Monitor weather reports closely to ensure guests safety.

+ Organize and oversee pool parties.

+ Communicate any potentially dangerous elements of the facility to the supervisor.

MININUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

+ Current certification as Lifeguard by recognized source of training.

+ CPR Certified

+ Less than high school with 6 months to 1-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

+ First Aid certificate is preferred

REQUIRED:

+ Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

+ Skill in applications of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.

+ Ability to pass
