The Manager, HR Operations provides oversite of daily HR functions including benefits administration, payroll, HR policies and procedures, and compliance with state and federal employment laws.
This role is responsible for providing guidance to HR staff and the SPP management team in the interpretation of HR policies and procedures. The Manager, HR Operations also serves as the direct point of contact to the SPP benefits broker and vendors and reviews all benefits documents, summary plan descriptions, and agreements prior to legal review. As a Subject Matter Expert, this role also works closely with the HR Director and Vice President of Human Capital on benefits plan design and cost analysis.
+ Manage and oversee the delivery of core HR services and functions
+ Manage and oversee compliance with state and federal employment laws including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) guidelines and requirements
+ Lead benefit plan analyses and make recommendations to executive management on design and coverage options
+ Provide guidance and information to staff and management on the application of policies and procedures
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits providers and SPP’s health insurance broker
+ Maintain corporate and employee confidentiality at all times
+ Provide leadership and support to all other areas of Human Resources, as needed
Education Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or
+ Five (5) years’ Human Resources experience
Experience Requirements:
+ 10 years’ experience in Human Resources (in addition to the above requirement) with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the area of Benefits Administration.
Other Requirements:
+ Understanding of, compliance with, and enforcement of state and federal employment laws.
Preferred:
+ PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
+ Experience in the administration of Affirmative Action program management.
