Your Impact

We are looking for an inspirational leader to join The Better Drinks Company as the Head of Sales for Route. You will lead a team of Key account managers, field sales and new business acquisition teams across our Route channels where you will develop a culture worth belonging to with leaders worth following and big dreams worth chasing.

This exciting and pivotal role will see you support the GM and be a key member of the TBDC Leadership Team to deliver the strategy, objectives, and revenue targets.

In addition, this role will see you provide people, customer, commercial and strategic leadership that will deliver better financial outcomes for The Better Drinks Company and our customers and build our corporate brand and culture externally and internally within the Asahi group making the NZ business an employer of choice among entrepreneurial people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute channel plans that deliver TBDC midterm plan objectives.
• Maximise commercial initiatives within customer.
• Develop and implement category growth initiatives.
• Understand customer strategic direction and leverage with TBDC initiatives
• Monitor competitor activity and take relative action to ensure TBDC continues to grow ahead of category.
• Develop joint business plans for all customers positioning TBDC as category captains in the Chilled juice, Organic drinks, Adult softdrinks, RTD Coffee and RTD tea categories.
• Ensure TBDC is amongst ‘best practice’ vendors in servicing key customer and meeting customer KPI’s through understanding Retailer businesses.
• Align TBDC internal stakeholders to ensure they are working to meet customer expectations in all functions.
• Develop category strategic plans across all category segments to deliver improved TBDC’s performance in the areas of sales growth, effective range management, category aisle recommendations.
• Lead the development and execution of the TBDC Customer Value Proposition.
• Develop field team capability to shift from relationship selling to conceptual selling.

About you:

• At least 10 years’ experience in a key FMCG sales/marketing role including channel sales and account management
• Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking to align customer strategy with TBDC’s growth agenda.
• Commercial acumen to effectively manage the challenges of sales volume, margin and market share growth.
