This role will lead the localization team and work across large and diverse teams to drive the overall strategy and execution of Asana’s localization program. You will partner closely with Asana’s Product, Web Development, User Operation, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams.

What you will achieve:
- Own localization vision, strategy and execution including tools and processes, quality assurance and scalability
- Advocate on behalf of the Localization team, building partnerships with key functions including Product, Engineering, Marketing, User Operations and Customer Support teams. Identify opportunities to increase an international mindset across the company.
- Create and continuously improve the international launch process to meet current business needs and to scale to future requirements.
- Leadership and mentorship for the localization team members. Hire, and retain top talent for the team.
About you:
- 8+ years of work experience in operations, localization, internationalization, international product development, or international business management experience.
- 4+ years of experience in building and scaling localization teams.
- Experience in working with different translation/CAT/content management tools. Detailed understanding of translation technologies, platforms and processes.
- Operational management with an ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications.
- Experience in business analysis and strategic planning. Ability to make data and insights accessible to a non-expert audience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build and deepen relationships cross-functionally, manage stakeholder expectations and influence employees across all levels of the company.
- Experience in working effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally; across different time zones.
- Curiosity for language, culture, regional nuance, and the desire to continually build empathy for our customers and teams outside of the US.

- Knowledge of additional languages other than English
- Technical localization experience
