Department: Ascension Connect RN Triage and Physician Answering Service
Schedule: 8 hour evenings, 2:45 pm – 11:15 pm, weeknights, every other weekend and some holidays. 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
Communicate with patients, via phone, to accurately prioritize patient calls for the medical staff.
- Collects and enters demographic information of callers; facilitates the flow of information in software for the triage RN.
- Understands when to escalate call concerns to the triage RN using guided tools.
- Manages first level inbound calls for centralized RN Triage teams in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.
- Provide counseling to patient, participant or their representative regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
- Ability to navigate in several software applications within this role.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills over the phone.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support state & national centralized team work.
Requirements
Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences
- Medical Assistant with a minimum of 3 years experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in keyboarding skills with accuracy.
- Strong technology skills.
