Ascentis Hiring For Ascentis – Data Architect at Singapore Full Time

• Own, maintain and proactively optimise the architecture and technical design of Ascentis’ Data Platform (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Dashboard, AI/ML).
• Work closely with business and product teams to collect, assess and refine requirements for the Data Platform. Able to break down complex processes and data structure into smaller delivery workstreams.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models suitable for reports, dashboards, and recommendation engines.
• Design and develop high performance, scalable, available, and reliable end to end data platform, such as the ETL/ELT pipeline, data quality service, dashboarding/reporting, and platform monitoring.
• Work closely with data engineers and data analysts in development of the data platform.
• Mentor and advice team members on technical design and implementations.
• Define and govern data architecture artifacts, such as design blueprint, design standards, best practices, and documentations.
• Support the Head of Data & Analytics in devising the product roadmap and building data team capability.
• Collaborate with another product teams to ensure consistent design and integrated solution.
• Able to communicate complex processes and data models, as well as articulating the benefits of certain design, to different target audiences (especially business users).
• May be required to work with external partners or clients in building the data platform.
• May be required to lead and deliver a data related project.

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in designing enterprise data platform, especially around data modelling, data warehouse or advanced analytics solutions.
• Minimum 5 years hands on experience in implementing data related projects.
• Practical experience designing and implementing AWS Analytics services, especially Glue, Athena, Lambda, Macie, SageMaker and QuickSight.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platform in general, such as the S3 and EC2.
• Familiarity with Data Lake and Data Warehouse design and best practices such as on data model, multi tenancy and data partitioning.
• Practical experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and best practices around it, such as on data cleansing, data tokenisation and ensuring good data quality.
• Practical working experience using Python.
• Familiarity with SQL Server and PostgreSQL will be advantageous.
• Eyes for details and strong analytical skills.
