POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position):
Reporting to the ACA Country Manager, the Director of Sales, will lead the ACA sales team to ensure sustainable and profitable market share and net sales growth in Canada. The Director of Sales drives the positioning of the Asics brand within wholesale distribution channels and is responsible for recommending and implementing short, medium and long term commercial strategies. This position will lead, manage, direct and motivate the Asics brand sales agencies/sales reps to achieve sales objectives. Includes setting and tracking of quarterly and yearly sales goals by sales agency/rep and assistance with sales to key accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acts as the primary voice in the creation of the long-term distribution strategy and regional sales tactics.
• Guides ACA Sales Team to deliver against business strategy and seasonal priority objectives.
• Translates ANA and ACA commercial strategies into ambitious targets for the sales team. Establishes appropriate sales performance goals and measures performance on targets and business KPI’S.
• Ensures ACA strategic initiatives are implemented in key cities, with key customers.
• Develops ACA sales forecasts and associated revenue plans.
• Negotiates and implements ACA trade terms.
• Ensures sales team complies with ACA sales strategies, policies and best practices.
• Coaches, trains and mentors ACA sales team to maximize sales, margin contribution and achieve long-term brand goals.
• Accountable to provide accurate forecasting, scenario planning, and account financial plans based on marketplace, market-share availability, and consumer demand.
• Drives planning, target setting and the forecasting process for the ACA Sales team.
• Provides domestic sales guidance (Marketplace, Sales Plan, Growth Opportunities and Forecasts) to the ASICS Executive team.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners. Cultivate and expand new relationships with key future partners.
• Collaborates with merchandising team to drive an effective channel segmentation strategy.
• Leads the seasonal inventory obsolescence planning by actively driving process in collaboration with the Sales Operations Director and Director of Merchandising. Manages the direct selling relationships with key value channel and closeout partners.
• Establishes and oversees best in class sales operations organization. Ensures the ACA sales team is provided with the tools and resources to be effective.
• Collaborates with marketing to develop key account activation plans and strategy.
• Manage, recruit and develop ACA sales organization.
