THE ROLE
Assistant Merchandisers play a key role at ASOS. Working closely with our Buying and Design teams, they use sales and trend data to bring in a range of products for our site at the right time and in the right quantities, that will delight our customer. They’re number-savvy analysts who are creative with their logic and passionate about product. They’re responsible for assisting the Merchandiser and wider senior Retail team in driving profit for the business, using commercial, innovative thinking.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to support our Topshop Formal team which is currently taking 8% of Topshop sales, working closely with the Buyer and Merchandiser and managing one Merchandising Administrator.
THE TEAM
ASOS is the UK’s number one fashion and beauty destination, expanding globally at a rapid pace. Our Merchandising team are at the heart of ASOS’ Retail division and they help to develop and select our ranges. And with over 50,000 styles on the site at any one time, it’s no small task – but definitely a fun one!
The Merchandising teams are responsible for financial planning & stock management for every product on ASOS. They review past trade, current performance and make predictions about future sales, calculating what intake & stock we will need to potientialise all opportunities.
They ensure we have the right products at the right time, in the right quantities and at the right price, applying a balance of commercial understanding and fashion sense.
