We are looking for a Software Support Engineer to provide high-level technical support for a cutting edge custom software at ASSA ABLOY that supports the architectural, construction and owners needs in managing doors, hardware, access control and much more.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Technical user support of our Openings Studio software platform to internal and external users.
• Maintenance of technical product information for use within the application
• User acceptance testing of new product features
• Support expansion of application to other areas of the business

What you will be doing

Reporting to the Sales Excellence Manager, the Software Support Engineer will take full ownership and control of a support case without supervision while continuously improving the level of support to maintain customer satisfaction.

This position will work closely with product management, marketing and sales functions, IT departments throughout local, divisional, and global levels of the company, and the software development team to maximise effective function and use of the software, ensuring appropriate IT infrastructure and training are available, completing testing and maintenance activities and providing excellent internal and external technical support.

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Software Development Team to identify product gaps and define customization requirements for regional and local markets using the software development issue tracker.

What we are looking for

Your broad software engineering experience will bring advanced knowledge across the full spectrum of technical support including:

• Previous experience in a sole software support role or equivalent
• Capability to work and prioritise tasks under pressure
• Experience using Informatica PIM and Redmine issues tracker
• Knowledge on Service Desk work and ticketing practices
• Baseline information security knowledge
• Prior experience support a technical sales process
