Software Engineer

We are excited to add an Engineer to our expanding product delivery team. It is a high impact and rewarding role. We are looking for a highly proficient engineer who has an emphasis on product, customer experience and pushing the boundaries using technical innovations.

The team you will be joining is our Resource Planning & Scheduling team. The team’s aim is to provide smart and innovative ways to ensure that the right resources show up on site, at the right time. Due to the dynamic nature of construction projects, the scheduling solutions that you and the team will develop will span both our mobile and web apps.

You will play a big role in architecting and implementing scheduling solutions that will catapult Assignar to the industry standard in scheduling and compliance. In particular, these include:

• Fluid Gantt and mobile resource scheduling using modern UX/UI
• Advancement of our Resource Constraint Engine to aid scheduling recommendations and alerts
• Intuitive scheduling conflict resolution workflows
• Implement a first class worker and asset compliance system

We are looking for someone with experience across the stack with an emphasis on the backend. Open to Mid and Senior-level candidates.

We are looking for the following skills:

• Experience building complex SaaS applications
• Over 3 years of back-end experience with in depth knowledge of a server based framework
• 2-3 years experience of JavaScript and using a modern front-end framework
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Practical programming skills allowing you to debug complex problems
• Appreciates and is committed to maintaining a cohesive and collaborative team culture through positive reinforcement and supportive feedback
• A continuous learner who loves to work with cutting edge technologies, welcoming change and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
• Motivated to share knowledge and best-practices to improve others’ abilities around them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• GraphQL & Django
• ReactJS, Typescript, Apollo
• AWS services & Github Actions
• Domain Driven Design
• Experience developing mobile applications
• Software Engineering, Computer Science or a similar university degree
