Assistant Accountant Full Time

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join their high performing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will have a broad scope of responsibilities including:  

• Monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist in preparing the performance of variance analysis on budget to actual reporting, general ledger and projects
• Contribute to month-end and year-end lodgement processes -BAS, PAYG, IAS
• Review, analyse and prepare yearly audit file, and liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
• Drive process improvement and system enhancement initiatives
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as required

To be considered for this role you will have at least 3-4 years’ experience working in the finance department within a large organisation, degree qualified and ideally commencing study towards a CPA/CA. You will also have excellent communication skills, be an analytical thinker and problem solver with high attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a collaborative and committed team.
