Build a well-balanced innovation portfolio and roadmap that drives investment and top line growth. Identify and prioritize business projects and enterprise data initiatives utilizing data science capabilities. Work with executive leadership and other executives to establish the vision for managing data as a business asset — to exploit data using research and analytics to maximize the return on data assets. Develop methods to ensure consistent application and use of analytics. Establish the governance of data and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making. Develop a thorough understanding of unmet clinical needs in healthcare through a combination of market research, competitive analysis, customer feedback, clinical diligence, and data/claims analyses in partnership with our clinical, product and data teams. Use innovation to differentiate the company in the market, provide unique value to customers and help build long-term relationships with customers. Take authority, responsibility, and accountability for exploiting the value of enterprise information assets, and of the analytics used to render insights for decision making, automated decisions, and augmentation of human performance. Be the corporate leader of data-driven insights that help support the exploitation of strategic and tactical business opportunities. Lead research, strategy creation, and development of new products or services to expand markets, monetize data (directly and indirectly), and grow company revenue. Expand the organization’s research and analytics offerings, especially in emerging analytical approaches, skills, and technologies, focusing them on digital business innovation. Organize and lead a center of excellence, constantly improving the organization’s capacity to innovate and develop insights with advanced analytics. Drive the development and deployment of the data and analytics platform. Serve as the Data Analytics technical advisor. Develop and give oral presentations on the power and value of data. Implement effective and ongoing programs to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care/services provided to patients/customers. Source, lead, coach, develop and manage performance of a team of data and analytics leaders. Influence internal and external stakeholders without always having authority. Deliver an overall strategic vision and product roadmap for assigned product lines, including proper prioritization to maximize impact to the customer and ROI. Define data and analytics strategy practices, lead the creation (and assure the ongoing relevance) of the firm’s data and analytics strategy in collaboration with the CTO, chief strategy officer and CEO. Institute an enterprise operating model that is consistent with the capabilities and competencies required to execute the strategy. Identify new kinds, types and sources of data to enable business innovation throughout the organization. Define processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new data. Implement operational improvements using appropriate data and benchmarking in conjunction with effective use of process improvement techniques. Measure the ROI of analytics initiatives and create a standard benchmark program for measuring analytics value. Work with business and IT leaders to identify areas of technical needs for future data science capabilities. Lead and/or serve on steering committees and help leadership use its data effectively to make decisions. Up to 30% travel required. May work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
