Pay: $19-$22/HR

M-F morning shift

Contract to Hire: potential to go direct with the company!!

Description:

• Handle incoming calls from patients/insurance/physicians/staff

• Returns telephone messages left on the voicemail

-Documents all calls timely and efficiently

• Performs necessary follow-up to ensure resolution of patient concerns

• Handle inquiries including appeals, re-billing, obtaining updated insurance information, identifying and correcting billing errors

• Maintains up-to-date information on Medicare laws, HCFA requirements, PPO contractual arrangements and other third-party payors

• Performs collection activities on assigned accounts

Collector, HMO, Medical, Medicare

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of medical collections/billing – Professional experience preferred – Knowledge of modifers, cpt, and ICD-9 coding – Customer service is a MUST – Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but NOT required
