Aston Carter Hiring for Medical Scheduler at San Mateo, CA Full Time

Description:

• Communicates with practice physicians as to their scheduled activities for the day
• Makes sure that physicians charts are at their desk first thing in the morning
• Professionally greets and attends to each patient
• After patient has completed their visit with their physician the scheduler is to review the treatment regimen that the physician has selected giving patients direction as to when their next visit will be and what tests they may need
• Schedulers are to make sure that patients know the schedule is what we have available in our system for their treatment. We do not fit into patients schedule they fit into ours
• New patients are to be scheduled with Nurse Practitioner prior to treatment
• Use of patient identifiers such as name and date of birth help us prevent speaking to the wrong patient
• Ensure that physician inbox and messages in Suite 225 are picked up and given to their physician timely several times a day
• When identifying patients who need additional testing outside of the office notifies Financial Counseling team to obtain authorizations
• Keeps track of all patients in waiting room and advises them of any delays
• Responds to emails and patient requests timely
• Listens to voicemail and returns call the same day received
• Requests co-payments and print receipt for patient
