Description:
purchasing and managing of inventory of bulk chemical, factory supplies and packaging supplies.

support the Procurement Manager in approving and qualifying new vendors

Maintain accurate inventory counts on a weekly basis for all bulk chemical, packaging supplies and factory supplies, including all filtration supplies, process chemicals, CIP chemicals and effluent chemicals/supplies.

Conduct month end inventory counts

assist the accounting staff in month end financial closing.

Maintain regular contact with all outside suppliers/vendors to purchase all supplies as is required to meet operational needs.

identify, qualify and negotiate competitive prices with new and existing vendors.

Track and understand all lead times for supplies and changing market conditions.

Improve overall inventory management to make inventory counts easier, keep supplies in good condition, organized, etc.

Understand production usage and report on higher than normal usage.
