Aston Carter Hiring for REMOTE Accounting Specialist at Des Moines, Iowa Full Time

A predominate financial company is looking to add a REMOTE Accounting Specialist to their team for a long-term contract (18 months).

Description:

• Preparation of projects that all make up the total client deliverables for reports, statements, distributions.

• Working on custom Excel reporting for large clients as well as custom participant statement programming and preparation

• Modernizing the actuarial systems and implementing new accounting guidance for long-duration insurance contracts

• Responsible for the identification, development, documentation and testing of new internal controls, both for interim and end states.

• Work across multiple business units and teams to ensure that the appropriate controls are being implemented.

• Quality Review projects that come from the staff

• Responsible for reporting on distributions for the client deliverables

• Responsible for providing reporting and statements to management

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

• Degree: Business/Accounting/Actuarial

• Strong Excel User

• Strong knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and Model Audit Rule

• Internal controls or process documentation experience required

• Strong project management skills

Soft Skills:

• Quick Learner

• High Attention to Detail

• Accuracy

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
