The Planner/Efficiency Analyst is responsible for leading the Planner/Scheduler. The planner/scheduler is an essential Epicor module which the operations team uses to plan, schedule, manage and monitor essential supply chain activities including: managing shop work load, identifying milestone completion dates for job, issuing jobs to the floor, and communicating to customers expected production completion and delivery dates. The Planner/Efficiency Analyst manages inventory in coordination with the Controller and shall lead the variance/efficiency team under the direction of the controller. In the planner/scheduler component of the position the incumbent shall work closely with the President and the operations team. Much of the planner/efficiency reporting responsibility will be directly to the President. The incumbent must have excellent computer, data analysis, and reporting skills. The ideal candidate has an interest in and acumen for details, financial and production accounting, MRP systems (Epicor), and Microsoft Office products (Excel, in particular) and shop work flow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILLITIES

Lead the Planner/Scheduler function by managing the Planner/Scheduler module within Epicor.

Work with the Estimator to ensure optimal time to purchase metals based on lead times and existing inventory.

Produce operational performance graphs and charts on a daily basis which reflects daily, weekly, monthly or year over year KPI performance.

Focus on production, absorption, and schedule adherence metrics.

Work actively on programs to improve performance in all aspects of Operations performance and inventory management.

Collaborate with all teams across the company, including Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Purchasing and Accounting.

Lead the daily production meetings to ensure planned work adheres to schedule. Issues daily reports on performance and actively follows up on open action items.

Leads bi-monthly job variance meetings and issues analysis reports to the President and Controller regarding plant performance.

Analyzes job performance and makes recommendations on inventory management practices.

Administrate Outside Processes work in the absence of the Outside Processes Manager (backup/bench strength).

Ability to follow a set work schedule with minimal absences and tardies and work overtime as business dictates.
