It’s an exciting time to join Aston University for an individual who is passionate about training and keen to develop our capabilities in utilising core student systems. Within the Student and Academic Services directorate, this role is part of the Corporate Student Systems Team. The Student Systems Trainer will be responsible for the development and delivery of dedicated training for users of a range of established and emerging student systems at Aston University. The post holder will work closely with both academic and professional support staff in order to ensure that the use and development of student systems is optimised.
The Student Systems Trainer will be an experienced trainer, with previous experience in training users of records systems and management information systems. You will demonstrate innovation in the development of approaches to staff training and awareness raising for student systems at Aston University.
Here are some of the key responsibilities of the Student Systems Trainer role:
To develop and maintain training relating to the key student systems used across Aston University.
To develop and deliver expert technical knowledge in relation to the key student systems used across Aston University.
To develop a suite of training materials that can be easily accessed and utilised by student systems users across Aston University, including detailed documentation, video resources and troubleshooting guides.
Here is some of the knowledge skills and experience required to be successful in the Student Systems Trainer role:
Experience of training a range of staff within large, complex organisations
Experience of developing and delivering training specifically relating to records systems and management information systems
Experience of developing training tools and materials that are accessible and innovative
Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
The ability to convey highly technical information and concepts to non-technical stakeholders
