Our position
The IT Risk & Solution Delivery Partner contributes to a world leading Pharmaceutical company which operates in over 100 countries and is head quartered in the United Kingdom. The candidate is expected to be a key member of the Canada IT team supporting the Canadian market.
The IT Risk & Solution Delivery Partner is responsible for working with our business stakeholders in managing the privacy and IT security assessment processes in line with the Business Unit (BU) objectives and priorities. He / She will consolidate and manage the Canada Digital Estate compliance to local and corporate privacy and IT security regulations, standards and policies. This role drives execution of privacy and IT security assessments for the Canada Digital Estate portfolio to minimize risk. The successful candidate will have the perfect blend of business/technology acumen along with regulatory requirement knowledge to manage business privacy and IT security risks.
Responsibilities:
Actively involved in establishing local information security governance framework and for Canada according to the AZ Global and Local standards (IT, Compliance, Data Privacy) and accordance to digital governance framework locally / globally.
Is an expert in the AZ Global security standards / processes for all technology related Solutions
provides input regularly to digital governance lead on status of risks/ mitigation plans
Interface between Global and Local colleagues to ensure that the Information Security Program is integrated into other management activities of the business, and, updates are provided to business stakeholders regularly
Support the Digital Excellence managers in working with their Digital Solution Vendors in partnership with Procurement during vendor onboarding or vendor solution assessment in support of Contract deliverables.
Assist the Business to efficiently remediate and lead the oversight of relevant changes to Digital Solutions as necessary
Ensuring that information security priorities are communicated to stakeholders of all levels within AZ Canada to ensure a successful implementation of the information security program.
Train and educate AZ Canada on IT Security threats, protocols, processes
Continuously monitor the performance of the information security program and apply changes based on standards changing
Track and execute Information Security Assessments, Risk Impact Determination and support Privacy Impact Assessments for AZ Canada
Represent IT in any audit related activities locally
In collaboration with Procurement and business stakeholders – be the local IT expert and provide input on contractual language where IT security related matters apply
Assist Business Digital Asset owners and the Canada Privacy Officer to execute Privacy Impact Assessments for AZ Canada
Support Solution Delivery processes as required
Responsible for collecting and reporting Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a solid track record, a diverse and broad technology experience and general technology acumen is expected. While a strong technical foundation is desired, the IT Security Analyst, must bring well-rounded business acumen, technology understanding and global perspective to effectively engage and work with the system asset owners, vendors and other key stakeholders to manage the IT cybersecurity risks to the Canada technology landscape. As a result, experience in business partner roles is ideally suited for the challenge. Past training and experience with IT security standards and best practices are important.
Minimum Requirements:
3-5+ years of relevant experience in application security, cybersecurity, IT security programs/governance
Ability to clearly communicate privacy and IT security standards and requirements to stakeholders.
Solid experience in security standards for internet facing applications.
Strong and effective communication, organization and time management skills
Domain expert in IT applications and has a broad knowledge of applications (on-prem and cloud based) solutions
Process and detail oriented individual and acts with sense of urgency
Effective collaboration with technical, business and vendor related teams locally and globally
Experience partnering with vendors to understand architecture diagrams, system and integration flows
Able to navigate various stakeholders to achieve deliverables and can make recommendations/decisions balancing risk and information available
Build relationships with colleagues locally and globally
Nice to have
Solid experience in IT security management or related certifications
Understand GDPR and any local data privacy legislations (PIPEDA)
Experience with IT audits, GxP and other regulatory related environments
Background
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
