Purpose:

To accurately handle inbound and outbound inquiries (i.e., email, fax, phone calls, etc.) including, but not limited to, contracting of producers and commission/bonus payouts. The challenge of this position is to resolve the customer’s inquiry in a timely and accurate manner while enhancing their service experience.

Accountabilities:

• Receives and processes incoming telephone requests and emails from producers and internal partners.

• Provides accurate information or explanations of our Licensing and Contracting processes and related requirements. Provides information such as state requirements, status of an appointment, licenses held information and outstanding requirements.

• Provides accurate information or explanations of our Commission payment process. Provides information such as commission calculation explanations, commission schedule and commission statement information and payment amounts and options.

• Completes transactions such as ACH and wire requests for commission payouts, changing payout method, auditing commissions and emailing of commission statements for producers.

• Formulates correspondence with customers through both verbal and written methods. Appropriately documents the agency systems regarding the handling of the call, email or fax and any next steps that need to be taken.

• Takes initiative to be a solution seeker.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• College degree preferred

• Basic to intermediate level ability to navigate through computer systems (internal databases) with minimal assistance required

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience in the Licensing and Contracting or Compensation areas within the Life Insurance or Annuity Industry preferred.

• Working knowledge of insurance products and processes, particularly around Licensing, Contracting or Commissions, preferred.

• Demonstrated understanding and working experience with regulations regarding insurance contracts preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to understand questions, interpret requests and ask probing questions for root cause analysis.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively use verbal or written methods, while explaining intermediate to complex concepts and processes to a diverse customer base.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work in a time intensive customer service work environment.
