Job Title: Regional Director
Job Summary The Regional Director is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the operations including strategic planning and forecasting, customer care, purchasing, warranty, team development, quality and other aspects of the business. The position is responsible for ensuring that these functions are led in a way that maximizes company profits and aligns with the company’s culture and values while building and leading a team. The Regional Director consistently delivers on operating plans, ensuring a healthy working environment that fosters a continuous improvement attitude. The Regional Director is an integral part of the overall Company’s success, and plays a larger role in developing the strategic direction of the Company.
Principal Responsibilities • Deliver annual operating plan goals for region and participate as needed to obtain Company goals. • Full P&L Management. • Generate new business opportunities by identifying and fostering professional relationships as follows: o Focus on insurance, property management, commercial, redevelopment and end users o Focus on direct insurance repair programs, large loss adjusters, and claim managers • Developing, implementing, and achieving the strategic and annual operating plans of the construction, restoration, and environmental departments. • Monitors relevant changes in the marketplace and works to continuously position operations to take advantage of opportunities. Partners with local vendors to support staff. • Accountable for maximizing profits through approval of the business plan, and setting procedures and monitoring to achieve forecasted goals • Interview and hire, train, motivate, and manage the department’s management team in executing the agreed upon plans and objectives of the company • Dir ectly manages between 5-11 Regional Managers with wide range of indirect reports. • Develop, implement, and manage customer satisfaction and quality programs to continually improve customer quality and satisfaction ratings for the company • Monitor construction team relationships and management of trade partners, ensuring a high level of communication and accountability. • Drive value-engineering efforts to ensure the most cost-effective process are used. Provide recommendations to reduce costs and work • Collaborates with other members of management in the creation of new and improved services, bringing an in-depth understanding of the division’s markets, up-to-date consumer preferences and the competition to the discussion • Develops an external, local network to ensure continuous success of the Company’s strategic plan relative to the local market • Oversee implementation of operations software, technology advances and efficiencies in each department • Analyzes results and provide solutions to resolve operational problems. • Responsible for ensuring branches are compliant with all safety, OSHA, CTPAT, UST, environmental, and DOT regulations; and all federal, state and local laws pertaining to employment • Understands the company’s vision, mission, and strategy; understands business unit objectives and sets/accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly • Responsible for ensuring facilities and equipment are maintained within company guidelines and protected. Facilitates best practices for maintenance, indirect spend and cost awareness in assigned regions(s). • Assess optimization of current initiatives to identify process improvement opportunities and training/development opportunities. • Participates in Project Director and Project Manager Selection & development. Develops objectives; coaches and evaluates performance. Ensures dotted-line reports obtain applicable training and development opportunities to enhance performance, development, and contributions to the company. Influences accountability for individual and team performance not in direct line of accountability. Addresses performance issues appropriately and timely.
Education and Experience Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in construction or related field • Professional certification (LEAN or LEAN-Sigma preferred) • Eight (8) years strategic operations management experience in construction • Eight (8) years’ experience leading teams in operations • Five (5) years leadership experience with multi-department management • Five (5) years field construction experience including multiple job site management • Five (5) years residential and commercial construction customer service experience • Proficient in Word, Excel, Salesforce and Google Suite. Knowledge of Xactamate and T&M Pro a plus
