Atlantic Health System Hiring for Medical Laboratory Scientist I, Chilton Medical Center at Pompton Plains, New Jersey Full Time

Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Laboratory Scientist I in the Core Lab at Chilton Medical Center to work flexible shifts including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing in the laboratory and report results according to SOP

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment

• Perform quality control tasks and maintain laboratory documentation according to SOP

• Maintain and manage laboratory inventory

• Provide laboratory information to others on the patient care team

• Maintain competencies and continuing education

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Associates degree with a minimum of three years experience or bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution. Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

  Certifications:

• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred

  Relevant Experience:

• Previous laboratory experience preferred, but not necessary; new MLS/ CLS graduates welcome
