Our company is expanding, and we’re looking for a Director of Warehouse Operations to lead our warehouse team, improve our productivity, and ensure the satisfaction of our customers. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the operations of our facility, making sure inventory is accurate and organized, orders are processed, packages don’t have any damage, shipments go out on time, and invoices are accurate. Compensation:

$75,000 – $95,000 yearly Based Upon Experience

Responsibilities:

• Direct distribution operations from the arrival of stock at inventory to its departure on scheduled shipments to assure damage-free and properly processed orders
• Handle the day-to-day operations and warehouse activities to ensure the facility runs smoothly and our clients are satisfied with our service
• Make sure our facility and team members are following all state and federal safety regulations, keeping risk of injury to a minimum
• Hire, train, and manage warehouse staff and create a work schedule that will maximize their work productivity
• Communicate clearly with company leaders, stakeholders, vendors, clients, and team members

Supervise day-to-day operations in the warehouse

• Purchasing, receiving, shipping, inventory, returns, production, maintenance, safety
• Conduct warehouse meetings
• Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, and Warehouse team members

Supervise inbound and outbound deliveries

• Performs quality control for shipping materials
• Manage distribution operations from the time material arrives and is placed into inventory or WIP to the time it leaves on scheduled shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness

Performs forecasting functions:

• Inventory turnover, WIP turnover, product counts, RGAs, and staff schedules that will maximize work productivity
• Review of backlogs to ensure timely project movement and billings of material in the warehouse

Warehouse Maintenance

• All material is stored correctly/staged
• Perform regular material audits
• Maintain system accuracy for all products, including inventory and WIP
• Machinery is up to date with routine maintenance
• Shipping/Receiving accuracy
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and make sure all team members are well-versed in safety requirements

Department efficiency improvement

• Help develop, implement and track department KPIs
• Determine production times and cost analysis

Training

• Safety training (OSHA, PPE, Equipment, Fall Protection, etc.)
• Forklift certification
• Inventory management

Qualifications:

• Applicants with a high school education or GED required, some college desired
• General knowledge of the state and federal safety regulations as they pertain to the position
• Jobseekers must have prior work experience in warehousing in a managerial or supervisory role leading a warehouse team, or in a similar position in a related work environment
• Should have demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
