Still University’s College of Graduate Health Studies (ATSU-CGHS) invites applications for a 0.5 FTE faculty appointment at the rank of an assistant or associate professor for the Nursing program. The position reports to the Nursing chair. There are four primary responsibilities with this role: 1) engage in nursing course instruction both at the MSN and DNP level, 2) assist in writing the CCNE self-study document and ancillary materials, 3) assist in preparation of the on-site CCNE visit, and 4) review and revise course curriculum as directed. The faculty member is also expected to attend departmental meetings as scheduled.

Major Job Duties

+ Teaching

+ Curriculum review

+ Assistance with CCNE preparation for the upcoming on-site visit

Job Responsibilities

+ Teach online in the MSN and/or DNP level that engages the students, participating frequently in online discussions and in the grading of assignments.

+ Developing CCNE materials as required to prepare the program for an on-site accreditation visit.

+ Other duties as assigned by the Chair.

Requirements

+ Terminal degree either in nursing or a related field. If the terminal degree is in a related field, must have an MSN

+ Unencumbered RN license from any state in the US

+ Would prefer a certification in advanced nursing leadership

+ Experience with Canvas or similary LMS

+ Skilled with technology application, including Excel, PPT, Word, and Adobe

+ Experience in working directly with a variety of students at the doctoral level

+ Effective time management skills

+ Ability to be creative in developing and evaluating curriculum, including DNP projects

+ Ability to multi-task while ensuring productivity

+ Ability to problem-solve while encouraging innovative ideas

+ Collegial interactions & communications with all in the ATSU community

Qualifications

Education

Masters or better in Nursing or related field.

2 year(s): Online teaching experience of at least two years is required.,
