He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Panmure Community Library is a great location for the community to connect, learn, relax, and enjoy. We are a focused and committed team who takes pride in creating a wonderful customer experience and our Library & Council Services Assistants play a vital part in ensuring this happens. In this role, you will be contributing to the day to day running of the library, support the running of library programmes, and answering a wide range of enquiries from customers about library services.
This is a permanent 20-hour role which includes rostered weekend days. While you’ll be mainly based in the Panmure community library, there will be opportunities for you to work at other libraries within the Local Board.

Your natural ability to relate well with people of all ages and backgrounds, excellent communication skills, and strong digital skills will ensure that you are able to successfully engage with our customers. You are someone who prides yourself on providing an excellent level of customer service, keen to learn new skills and new ways to engage with our diverse and vibrant community.
As digital troubleshooting is an important part of this role, you will be expected to be familiar with digital technology and able to comfortably impart that knowledge to our customers.
