He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Great opportunity providing you with relevant careers experience through the summer months at Auckland Botanic Gardens.
The role involves assisting the Botanic Gardens staff to manage and maintain the plant collections as well as facilitate a safe and enjoyable outdoor recreation and education experiences in a botanic garden setting. You will work alongside Botanic Gardens staff to ensure that plant collections and amenity gardens meet agreed service standards that meet visitor expectations and achieve Botanic Gardens objectives in education, conservation and visitor experience.

You must be comfortable in a physical role and be willing to do all sorts of jobs!
We are looking for a candidate with previous customer service experience and great teamwork skills. Experience in horticulture and handling small machinery would be advantageous, but training will be provided to the successful candidate. Preference will be given to applicants who have clean and full NZ driver’s licence.
These positions will work full-time for 12 weeks from early December 2021 until late February 2022. It will include working on some public holidays, including the Christmas and New Year period, so flexibility is a must.
